Tyson Foods nominates Rosie Herrington for Women in Trucking’s Driver of the Year

Post Date - Feb 17, 2022

Tyson Food’s private fleet is proud to share our nomination of Rosie Herrington for the Women In Trucking Driver of the Year!

This award recognizes outstanding female professional drivers who lead the industry in safety standards while actively working to enhance the public image of the trucking industry. We’re so fortunate at Tyson Foods because Rosie is a true inspiration and a great representative for Tyson Foods.

A resident of Cusseta, Georgia, Rosie has worked at Tyson Foods for almost 18 years and has driven in the South GA Shuttle Operation for most of that time. She currently has an impressive 1,139,921 safe miles, but that number is even more notable when you consider she may touch 15 trailers a day and those amazing safe miles come staying mostly in a 70-mile radius in South Georgia. Rosie has a great passion for her work and her effort is incomparable.

The finalists and overall winner will be recognized at the 2022 Salute to Women Behind the Wheel event at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in March 2022. The winner will be chosen based on her safety record, positive community contributions, and impact on the public image of the trucking industry. She will receive a plaque, commemorative ring and more.

Congratulations to Rosie on her nomination and thank you for your amazing service. Want to join inspirational professionals like Rosie? We have a place for you at Tyson Foods! Connect with us today to get the details!
