Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight of chicks on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations short and long distances while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Drivers are responsible for reporting any citations and/or driving violations. Drivers are responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading chicks to the correct broiler farm in a timely manner.Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. without assistance occasionally. Driver will be expected to maintain a good working relationship with workers on ALL farms. Driver will also be required to perform other duties as required by manager. Must be able to pass a urine and hair follicle test.
Must be 21 years of age with a valid Class A CDL
Have at least one year of driving experience.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills to understand highway traffic signs/ signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. Basic math skills are also required. Must be familiar with DOT regulations.
Must be capable of performing all current DOT pre/post driving inspections.
