Hours: Starting off it will be 7am to 3:30 with a 30 minute lunch during the interview process the LiveHaul Manager and Supervisor will discuss the typical day and hours of our LiveHaul Drivers
Day of the week: Typically Monday through Friday. They will need to be open to working periodic Saturdays and Sundays as business needs require.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for performing daily PM checks on truck and trailer; driving to and from various farms to deliver and or pickup or load feed as scheduled.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for having current CDL driver license, pass DOT physical every 2 years.
2. Perform daily PM checks on truck and trailer including and complete DOT pre-trip inspections as required by DOT.
3. Responsible for leaving at designated time and driving to appropriate location.
4. Unbooming trailer in preparation for loading cages of birds.
5. Help to keep the fan trailers operating.
6. Ensure doors on cages are open.
7. Boom trailer after cages are loaded and received a load ticket.
8. Drive truck to the farm.
9. Unload cages as stated on ticket.
10. Driver responsible for refueling and post trip inspection after last load.
11. During snow and ice the driver is required to chain or unchain tires as required to safely arrive to and from destination.
12. Perform miscellaneous duties associated with this job classification.
13. Responsible for communicating accurate information concerning load to guard via radio and give the load ticket to the guard.

SIGNIFICANT WORKSITE MEASUREMENTS
Hours worked: 7 to 14 hours per day. CMV driver may drive 11 hours after 10 hours off duty; may not drive beyond the 14th hour after coming on duty, following 10 hours off duty; may not drive after 60/70 hours on duty in 7/8 consecutive days. Driver may restart a 7/8 consecutive day period after taking 34 or more consecutive hours off duty.

Work Environment:
1. Steps of cab of truck are 14, 18 and 19 inches high. The wheel is 44 inches high
2. Approximately 40 pounds to push and pull down binders when booming and unbooming the cages, 24 total on each trailer.
3. Fifty three Inches to reach to boom and unboom cages.
4. Twenty two (22) cages on a trailer, cages are stacked 2 high.
5. Opening the doors requires reaching no higher the eye level, there are 15 doors per cage.
6. Average of 3 runs possible per shift.
7. Average one way trip to the farm varies from 10 to 60 minutes.
8. Checking water in radiator requires reaching up 39 inches vertically.
9. Checking oil requires horizontal reach up to 33 inches. Oil poured in at 43 inches.
10. Open truck hood is approximately 70 pounds pull force and closing requires push up to 40 pounds.
11. Gallon of antifreeze or oil weighs 8 pounds
12. Antifreeze is added at 66 inches and stepping on the tire at 39 inches can possibly reduce the amount of reach.
13. Air and electrical lines are unhooked at 59 to 61 inches high.
14. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Lifting, twisting, reaching and turning body, head and neck.
15. Work in hot, cold, humid, and wet environments.
16. Average number of times climbing in or out of the truck is 30 to 35 times during the shift.

5. Forward bend (occasionally) required to forward bend to remove product to obtain proper weight.
6. Stand (continuously) stand to check weight, pack boxes, and transfer boxes on conveyor.
7. Walk (occasionally) walk a few steps at a time when retrieving empty boxes.
8. Vision (continuously) needed to perform job duties.
9. Balance (continuously) good balance needed to walk safely on wet, slippery floors, and move safely within work space.
10. Coordination (occasionally) needed to read weights on scales, pack boxes adequately, and retrieve boxes.
11. Walking (rarely) Required to walk to and from break area and to work stations.

Must pass both a hair follicle drug screen and a DOT urine test.
Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical examination and Drug Screening as outlined in the D.O.T. Regulations. Must be able to pass a road test. Must be able to perform essential job functions to standard within 20 days. Must have Class A CDL and 1 year driving experience. Cannot have a DUI within the past 10 years. Must be able to perform essential job functions to standard within 20 days. Must be able to work flexible hours and some weekend. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in a hot, cold, humid & wet environment. Must observe all required hygiene & safety procedures at all times. This job requires bending, lifting, twisting, & turning.
