- Average: ~20 loads per week

Job Summary
The Live Haul Driver is responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport live poultry from farms to the processing plant. This role requires strict adherence to Tyson policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport live birds
- Pick up trailers with empty cages and transport them to poultry farms
- Unbind cages to allow for unloading at farms
- Assist with loading operations (cages filled, restacked, and reloaded)
- Secure (bind) loaded cages for transport
- Deliver and drop trailers at the live haul shed at the processing plant
- Maintain logbooks and comply with DOT requirements
- Follow all safety, animal welfare, and company procedures

Minimum Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean and satisfactory CDL driving record
- Meet all Tyson and DOT driving standards
- Successfully pass:
- Background check
- DOT drug screening
- Hair follicle test
- Physical exam
- Willing to work flexible hours
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying temperatures
- Ability to sit for 8-10 hours daily
- Must be able to grasp, grip, twist, pull, bend, and stoop occasionally
