- Job Requirements

- Minimum age: 21
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Clean, satisfactory CDL record (meet Tyson & DOT standards)
- Must pass DOT drug test and physical, subject to random testing
- Prefer tanker endorsement or the willingness to obtain within the first 30 days
- Team Member must be dependable, work well with others, self-motivated and willing to come in early and stay late, when necessary.
- Prefer high school graduate or equivalent; a minimum of 6 months experience driving heavy equipment or trucks is preferred.
- Successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively in order to receive work orders from the dispatcher over the radio.
- Must be willing and able to relay information to other co-workers and report issues to management and to complete daily paperwork.
- Prefer experience with trailers and tankers
- Must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment.
- Must be willing and able to have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, shovel, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
- Must be able to sit 10-11 hours per day
- Operate a commercial tractor/trailer
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Follow Tyson policies and procedures
- May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
