Automatic and Manual trucks
This position will be at the Forest, MS Plant. This position will be responsible for working safely and ensuring animal welfare guidelines are met when delivering catch machine equipment from the processing plant or designated site to the contract grower farms in an approximate 100-mile radius. Position will require the ability to safely travel and maneuver tractor-trailer rig on open highways, small paved and dirt roads and driveways. Position will require loading the loader equipment on trailer and safe operations while at the farm. Drivers will be responsible for loading cages on trailers at contract grower farms.

Essential Job Functions:
- Must be able to report to work promptly and regularly.
- Must be able to take directions from management and work well with others.
- Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately; react to change productively, and handle all other tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to safely drive tractor/trailer with use of all limbs, hands, and eyes.
- Must be able to climb in and out of truck using 3 points of contact rule. (16-20 times/day)
- Must possess ability to sit for long periods of time, up to 2 hours per load.
- Must be able to pick up loose chickens and secure cage doors as needed.
- Must have the ability to secure the loads. This entails Animal Welfare issues and the possibility of catching a live bird that gets out of the cages at the plant.
- Must possess good hand and eye coordination.
- Must be able to walk, bend and stoop during shift.
- Must possess ability to use hands to raise hood to check oil.
- Must be able to shift gears while driving (repetitive motion).
- Must possess the ability to twist when operating vehicle and loader equipment.
- Must possess the ability to lift body weight in and out of vehicle and loader equipment
- Must be able to repeat these essential functions throughout the shift.
Applicant must pass a DOT urine test and hair follicle test.
Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License in the State of Tennessee. Age 21 or older. Must have nine months or more of verifiable Tractor Trailer driving experience within the last 12 months, or 12 months verifiable tractor trailer driving experience within the last 10 years. Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screening as outlined in the DOT regulations.
