The Hatchery Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport eggs, chicks between hatcheries and poultry farms while following Tyson policies, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.

Schedule
- Regular schedule: 5:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Start and end times may vary daily based on production needs.
- Scheduled workdays are typically: Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday
- Holidays and weekends may be required.
- Workdays may change depending on production demands.
The Hatchery Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport eggs, chicks between hatcheries and poultry farms while following Tyson policies, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Transport eggs, chicks, and/or live birds to and from hatcheries and poultry farms.
- Pick up and transport trailers loaded with empty racks and/or live birds.
- Deliver empty egg racks to poultry farms.
- Unbind and unload empty racks.
- Load and secure full racks of eggs onto trailers.
- Assist with loading chicks onto trailers.
- Secure chick loads for safe transport.
- Unload chicks and place them inside poultry houses.
- Operate a Moffett forklift as required.
- Wash and maintain trailers and tractors to company cleanliness standards.
- Complete required logbooks and transportation documentation.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to push racks loaded with eggs.
- Ability to sit and stand for 8-10 hours per day.
- Ability to: Grasp Grip Twist Pull Bend Stoop
- Work in varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Work inside poultry houses and hatchery environments.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Poultry farms, hatcheries, and transportation routes.
- Exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions.
- Exposure to poultry house environments.
- Frequent loading, unloading, and securing of live production materials.

Position Requirements
- Must pass Urine and Hair Follicle Drug test
- Must past DOT physical
- Must currently hold a valid Class A CDL.
- Employees who are not currently Tyson drivers must wait for the position to be posted through the 10th Street application process.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a minimum of one year of commercial driving experience.
- Must maintain a satisfactory CDL driving record.
- Must meet all Tyson and DOT driving requirements.
- Must pass: Background check DOT physical DOT drug test Random drug testing requirements
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and maintain required logbooks.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum one year commercial driving
